EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

ECCS, Inc. provides a variety of chemistry consulting services.  Our technical staff is a unique and highly experienced group of chemistry specialists that add value to every phase of a typical environmental project.   We have grown as an organization by 30% over the past 4 years, and need to add additional staff to meet demand.  We are currently looking to add the following new team members.

Senior Chemist

Responsibilities

Each Senior ECCS, Inc. team member for infield services has broad responsibilities toward understanding the technical requirements and business goals of each and every project. When you are on-site, you will serve multiple roles as the Client Manager, the Sample Log-in Staff, the chief analyst, the QC officer, reporting department and maintenance staff. You must have the ability to understand conceptual models and, in conjunction with the client, maintain focus on the overall purpose of the program, while implementing efficient and timely analysis and effectively communicating with project managers and regulators, if needed. Senior Chemist applicants should be able to independently set up, troubleshoot and perform all maintenance of instrumentation. Mobile laboratory projects will require our chemists to travel for various length of time.

Requirements

ECCS, Inc. team members provide a combination of several analytical skills. Each chemist must be qualified in one or more of the following analytical areas for a variety of organic and inorganic compounds.

  • GC with FID/PID/ELCD/EC/NP/MS
  • HPLC
  • Flame AA/Graphite Furnace AA/ICP instrumentation
  • Knowledge of USEPA SW846 Methods

An appropriate educational background would be a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in environmental chemistry or related field. Ability to self-direct activities, set priorities and think on your feet are required.

Compensation for Salaried Employees

We offer a truly casual work environment in our fixed based laboratory and an opportunity to work with a variety of persons in different environmental settings while on-site with mobile laboratory.
