Position:         Senior GC/MS Environmental Chemist (full-time, salaried, exempt)

Location:        Madison, WI (30 to 50% travel commitment)

ECCS is a rapidly growing, independent environmental analytical testing service company. We are a flat organization and strive to be a place where people simply “love” to come to work.  Our operations are described in detail throughout the pages of this website.  We provide testing for the environmental investigation and restoration community, i.e., soil and groundwater for classical organic and inorganic constituents. Our clients range from very small, niche firms to Engineering News Record® (ENR) Top 50 engineers and scientists.

Our NELAC-accredited mobile laboratories have provided fast, effective, and reliable infield analytical services at more than 1,000 site investigation or remediation projects throughout the U.S. while serving the industrial, commercial and agricultural chemical marketplaces. Our success has been built on the knowledge and experience of seasoned environmental professionals.

Our chemists are environmental laboratory professionals who are interested in providing solution-oriented and quality objective-oriented service to our clients. These are professionals who have the skills to be the entire laboratory staff (for example, in a mobile laboratory environment) and at the same time be an integral member of our client's team. You will need to be creative and be able to think and make logical decisions on your feet to handle the unexpected while you are in the field.

Currently we are seeking an experienced GC/MS environmental chemist with 10+ years environmental laboratory experience to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin.  Responsibilities include traveling to field project sites and performing mobile/onsite environmental testing services.  Our expectation is that all field chemists travel approximately 30 to 50 percent of the time on an annual basis.  The remainder of the time will be spent in Madison supporting the fixed-base laboratory, cross-training, and supporting our overall operations. Travel commitments typically are required for less than one week to up to two-week rotations.

Our compensation package is extensive including a very competitive salary, IRA, profit-sharing, health, dental, comp-time, personal time, flex time, and the ability to work at a growing, flat organization with no barriers to personal or professional growth.
